At The Chutney we want you to contact us as soon as possible if something has gone wrong with your order.
Changes or cancellation
If you need to change or cancel an order, contact the restaurant immediately on:
Because food may start being prepared shortly after the order is accepted, we cannot guarantee that an order can be changed or cancelled once preparation has already begun.
Right of withdrawal for food orders
The usual 14-day right of withdrawal for distance sales does not apply in every situation.
Prepared food and other groceries that can quickly deteriorate or go out of date may be covered by statutory exceptions from the right of withdrawal.
A food order from The Chutney therefore normally cannot be returned or cancelled in the same way as an ordinary item bought online when the order is covered by such an exception.
This does not affect your right to complain about a faulty order.
If something is wrong with the food or the order
Contact us as soon as possible if:
- you received the wrong dish,
- something is missing from the order,
- the food or a product is faulty,
- the order is damaged,
- or the order otherwise does not match what was ordered.

Please include your order number and describe the problem as clearly as possible.
We may ask for a photograph of the food or the order if needed to assess the matter.
How we handle complaints
We assess each case individually and try to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
Depending on the situation, a suitable remedy may for example be:
- correcting the fault,
- a replacement product or dish,
- a price reduction,
- or a refund.
Your rights under mandatory Swedish consumer law are not affected by this policy.
Refunds
If a refund is to be made, it is normally issued using the same payment method that was used for the purchase, when this is possible.
The time before the money appears in the customer’s account may vary depending on the bank and payment provider.
