Acceptance of Orders
All orders are subject to acceptance by The Chutney.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse, limit or cancel any order due to pricing errors, suspected fraud, technical issues, unavailable products, force majeure, or any other legitimate business reason.
An order is only considered accepted once payment has been authorised and an order confirmation has been issued.
Prices
All prices are displayed in Swedish Kronor (SEK) and include applicable Swedish VAT.
Prices, menu items and promotions may change at any time without prior notice.
Obvious pricing or system errors do not bind The Chutney. In such cases we reserve the right to cancel the affected order and refund any payment received.
Payment
Payment must be completed before food preparation begins.
Payments are securely processed by third-party payment providers, including PayPal and supported card processors.
Ownership of the goods remains with The Chutney until payment has been successfully received.
Food Preparation
Food is freshly prepared specifically for each order.
Preparation begins shortly after payment has been accepted.
Once preparation has started, orders cannot normally be cancelled, changed or refunded except where required by law.
Collection & Delivery
Customers are responsible for collecting takeaway orders within the agreed collection window.
Food left uncollected for more than 30 minutes after the agreed pickup time may be discarded without refund.
Estimated delivery times are not guaranteed and may vary due to traffic, weather, courier availability or other circumstances beyond our control.
Risk in the goods transfers to the customer upon collection or successful delivery.
Allergens & Dietary Requirements
Our kitchen handles allergens including gluten, milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, soy, mustard, celery and other allergens.
Although we follow strict food safety procedures, we cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from allergens or cross-contamination.
Customers are solely responsible for informing us of allergies before placing an order.
The Chutney accepts no liability for allergic reactions where accurate information has not been provided or where cross-contamination cannot reasonably be prevented.
Refunds & Complaints
If there is a problem with your order, you must contact us as soon as possible and, where applicable, no later than 24 hours after receiving your order.
We may request photographs or other documentation before assessing a complaint.
Refunds, credits or replacements are provided solely at our discretion unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Refunds will only be issued to the original payment method.
We reserve the right to refuse complaints that are incomplete, fraudulent, abusive or submitted after an unreasonable delay.
Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with Swedish and EU consumer legislation, prepared meals and perishable food products are exempt from the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal.
Once preparation of your order has commenced, your purchase cannot be cancelled under the right of withdrawal.
Availability
Menu items, ingredients and pricing may change without notice.
If an item becomes unavailable, we reserve the right to:
- substitute an equivalent product;
- remove the unavailable item and partially refund it; or
- cancel the affected order.
Promotions & Discounts
Promotional offers:
- cannot be exchanged for cash;
- cannot normally be combined with other offers;
- may be withdrawn or amended at any time;
- are subject to availability.
The Chutney reserves the right to cancel any promotion that has been used incorrectly or fraudulently.
Intellectual Property
All trademarks, logos, designs, photographs, menus, text, graphics and other content on this website are the exclusive property of The Chutney or its licensors.
No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed or used for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
Website Use
We aim to keep the website accurate and operational but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that all information will always be error-free.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the website without notice.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Our liability is limited to the value of the relevant order.
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental or economic losses.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party delivery services, payment providers, internet outages, force majeure events or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under Swedish law.
Force Majeure
The Chutney shall not be liable for failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to fire, flood, pandemic, strike, supplier shortages, government action, technical failures, power outages or transportation disruptions.
Privacy
We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Personal information is collected only for legitimate business purposes, including:
- processing orders;
- customer support;
- payment administration;
- legal compliance;
- improving our services.
We do not sell personal information.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Swedish law.
Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swedish courts, unless mandatory consumer protection legislation provides otherwise.
